Oaked Traditional
An Oaked Traditional Mead made with goldenrod honey

Bottle Date: March 20 2007
Ingredients:
5 gallon batch
- 14 lb. goldenrod honey
- 3 Tbs pollen (yeast nutrient)
- Lalvin K1V-1116 yeast
Heat 2 cups water too boiling, add pollen,boil a few minuets.
Heat 1 gallon water too 125F, stir in honey and pollen water.
Pour into 5 gallon carboy, add water too 5 gallons, add rehydrated yeast
Start sg. 1.100
Nov. 27 2005 - racked sg. 0.996
Feb. 05 2006 -racked
Apr. 11 2006 -racked, add 4 tsp. sparkaloid, 2 tsp. bentonite
Dec. 15 2006 -racked, add 1 cup medium toast french oak chips
Feb. 20 2007 -bottled
